Dear potential rental permit holders,

Please read the enclosed letter that I have written, recommending that the Planning Commission approve CUPs before them tonight. I have written this letter in the hope you will demonstrate your desire to be responsible property owners by joining our Catalina Island Property Owners Association - CIPOA.

In response to complaints from neighbors, our organization has a working committee in place to formulate a plan to help better monitor rental units. If we don't take care of the problem of noisy renters and absentee landlords, we may lose the City's approval to rent our properties.

While membership in CIPOA is voluntary, it sends a signal to the City - that you are willing to work with the City and improve our relationships with our island neighbors.
