Standard List of Conditions for Transient Rental Conditional Use Permit

 
  1. Smoke detectors must be installed in all bedrooms.
  2. Compliance with the City of Avalon Finance Code relating to transient rental business licenses, collection and payment of transient rental taxes to the City.
  3. The Rental Agent or Owner shall comply with the Vehicle Code which (1) permits transient renters to only use the vehicle which is permitted for the location; and (2) prohibits the owner or rental agent from charging for the use of the vehicle.
  4. The rental agent or owner shall distribute a "please be considerate of your neighbors" notice to each rental group.
  5. Prohibit use of unenclosed areas such as decks and balconies after 12 am. (midnight).
  6. Conditional Use permit will automatically expire after two years and re-application will be required (at a reduced fee).
  7. At its meeting of April 17, 2001, the City Council approved in concept, the new standards and requirements developed by the Planning Commission and directed the Commission to impose these requirements as conditions on new applications with the understanding that if any requirements are deleted then the same deletion should be made as to conditions of approved Conditional Use Permits.
